This region is available to any acts unable to perform due to distance, entry numbers, Covid Isolation, scheduling clashes, or just preferring not to compete at a live event.
The task is that you submit a video of your band’s performance for the on-line region final.
This performance is to be (up to) 6min in duration (usually two songs, but a single song or a medley is also acceptable). Although the assessment is primarily performance-based, let us know if either song is written by the band members themselves.
How this video is presented is over to you – it could be footage of a live performance at a concert, or it could simply be a video of the band performing in their music room. The only requirements are that it HAS TO BE LIVE! This means no overdubs, edits, or corrections, and no Teacher/adult accompanist. We are not looking for a Music Video, we want one-camera continuous footage of a live performance please, and the judging will be on the quality of the performance, not the quality of the video production.
Nb video file must be no larger than 1 gig. (.mp4 and .mov files are preferred)
After the video has been captured, the next step is to upload it to our website via the upload tab on the home page, or www.bandquest.co.nz/video-upload
Video submissions will need to be completed and uploaded, no later than Sept 2nd. We will post all links to www.bandquest.co.nz, and the results will be announced on September 8th.
